Executive functioning is a term that describes someone’s ability to manage a variety of tasks and processes that often come about in day-to-day life. The parts of the brain that control executive functioning are responsible for helping us initiate tasks, organize and prioritize, plan ahead, shift from one task to another, control emotions, remember details, and more.
